Our Story
Opened at the end of 2019, Public House Jaco Grill is built from the founding concepts of what once was: Los Amigos Jaco (2005 – 2019), which was a local restaurant and bar, a place to meet old friends and to make new friends.
Public House Jaco Grill continues the tradition of bringing people together. Located right in the center of downtown Jaco with a 2-story concept, our downstairs offers air conditioned seating with a varied selection of local artisanal craft beers that you can enjoy by draft, bottle, and sometimes even cans. We also have a great selection of your favorite liquors and mixed drinks. Happy Hour is everyday from 5-7pm, with discounts on liquors, cocktails, and our complete beer selection!
If A/C is not your thing, then you can sit outside on our front patio and watch the town go by or head upstairs to our 2nd floor open-air bar with an even better, birds-eye view of the Jaco strip. Both upstairs and downstairs offer multiple TVs with just about any sports you can think of–just ask and we will be more than happy to work on finding your favorite teams. On the weekends we will sometimes bring in a local DJ or live musicians to play in the upstairs bar.

Our Menu
Our menu offers a diverse range, from our well-known hot wings and simply delicious 1/2 lb USDA hamburgers to our traditional Thai dishes/curries, as well as locally-sourced, fresh seafood options, like the popular whole-fried red snapper or our seared fresh yellow fin tuna steak with our tasty poke sauce.
We are open for lunch and dinner 7 days a week, from 12pm to 10am, so stop in with family or friends for good drinks, good eats, or just to grab one of our famous 32oz “BIG ASS SMOOTHIES” to cool you down under this HOT Jaco sun…………….LOVE, SURF, DIE…………..PURA VIDA!

Outstanding. Really. Upscale, clean, modern, friendly and attentive staff. And the best burgers in town. I’ve tried several items from their menu and never been disappointed or left hungry. I once dropped a fork and they had a new one on the table almost before it hit the floor. Must try while in Jaco.

One of the best places for food and especially beer in Jaco. Great atmosphere. Fun and a lot of sports on the big screens. The fried pickles are amazing and every food item we have ordered from hamburgers to Asian delights were phenomenal. Did I mention beer. Best IPA's on tap! I haven't yet tried them all after many visits. This is a destination pub in Jaco. Treat yourself and enjoy the Public House.

I'm in Jaco for 3 months and have eaten here 3 times. The burgers are excellent and IMHO, the best here. Cooked to order, I asked for medium rare and it came pink in the middle! YES! Lots of fresh toppings. Try the peanut butter smoothie. Cashew Chicken was excellent. Try it, you won't be disappointed.
